Finally the end of Merlin's Story

Merlin…

The judge sends the two men again in search for the priest. What they found wasn’t expected from them. Since the devil used the priest to commit sin with the judge’s mother, now the demon hounded him to comic suicide rather than go to the obvious execution that he would receive from his own son. The priest leaped into the lake. This was what the two men witnessed, the priest suicide. They returned to the judge and told him what happened. The judge realizes that everything that Merlin predicted occurred. This was the final action that made the judge believe in Merlin’s words, considering him a wise.

Bleise became Merlin’s life long friend. He helped Merlin with use and control of his capabilities, yet he was fearful of his powers. Merlin constantly remembered that it was God’s will that retained his abilities to see the true past and future and that any bond that he had with the devil was broken with his baptism thanks to the advice that Blaise told Merlin’s mother.

Merlin was trough time the molder of the Round Table he baptized what is the Siege Perilous. This was the name given to the king’s left seat that only the best knight of the whole realm could sit on and also he had the privilege to go in a quest for the search of the Holy Grail. This sit also it was said that Merlin had enchanted it solo that the knight would be protected against any act that would lead to a possession from the devil.

The judge then adked Merlin who her father is and he said that he was incubus, a demon, the only one who can enter a closed room and ravished his mother while she was slept. This was the reason of why he had tremendous powers like the ability to see everything of the past. But since he was baptized and the constant prayers of his mom to God the tie between him and the demon was broken and he remained with the foresight powers and God blessed him with future sight powers also.

The judge didn’t believe in him, but then the judge’s mom arrives and Merlin asked a question to the judge: who is your father? He said that his mom’s husband, but that wasn’t correct because Merlin said that the judge was the son of the priest that his mother have relationships with him. The mother tried to deny it, but the color of the judge mother had changed and there were the certain that Merlin had told the truth.

Later on Merlin talked privately to the judge warning him that the judge’s mother was going to tell the priest that the truth had been revealed; the priest would fear the judge and flee to the woods, before drowning into a pond. Merlin told the judge to send two guards to follow his mother to prove that Merlin have this powers. Merlin was right the information provided from the guard say that the priest ran to the woods to hide from the judge.

Now the SToRY really begins

The because of that she was sent to be imprisoned in companion of two other women that would help her through she was pregnant in order for the child to born healthy since he isn´t the one that had sin so the baby deserves no punishment. Months later the child was ready to birth, the women helped her to give birth but they were shocked because the child looked like an animal because of the exaggerated amount of hair he had.

The mother of the child called him Merlin. But the bad thing about Merlin was that because of the bad looking no women in town willed to take care of him. The devil had plans for the baby to become a devil just like him, but that plan was messed up when Merlin got baptized. Years later when Merlin was able to walk and eat for himself, it was time that he was separated from his mother.

The time had come and Merlin tried to comfort her mother telling her that he won’t let anything happen to her and that he would save her. Stunned that he can talk at this early years she dropped him. News of this wonder came to public and the judges decided that she was also gone crazy so it was time to execute her once and for all. Merlin just before she was executed jumped and tried to save her mother, all the judges where amazed that he could talk at that age. Amazed of that act they decided that Merlin´s mother execution delayed, but if he can´t prove it he must take the same destiny than her mother.

Merlin´s Back-story Part 2

The oldest sister then realized what happened to her younger sister and was worried because she knew that she will eventually fell into temptation. Worried about this she sought help from the good priest again. And the priest said that she needed to believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. She must also pray every evening and cross before going to bed.

Two years later the demon sent the women’s younger sister with her lovers to her house. The women tried to get her sinful to leave her home, but she refused. The young woman because upset with her sister’s behavior, and became angry that she forgot the warnings to avoid wrath. Her sister’s lovers started beating her, until she managed to escape.

She fled to her room where angry and frustrated about her sisters behavior collapsed in the bed, until she felt sleep, but she forgot to pray and cross herself. The devil that was very aware of every aspect of the woman saw that she forgot the priests warning and that she sinned by feeling anger. As slept the devil came to her and had raped her while she was asleep having her to conceive a child.

She was afraid of having the same treat as her middle sister and be buried alive. The judge arrived and discovered that she was pregnant; the priest negotiates with the judge that the execution would be postponed until she gave birth to the child

Merlin´s Back-story Part1

It had been said that the Holy Grail, the knights and The Round Table have a relationship and a factor that is important to mention is the story of Merlin. So, who is this character? Where did he come from? Answers will be answered through different blog entries:

This tale began with a rich man that had a wife, a son and three daughters, but he was hunted by the devil. This devil first destroyed most of the belongings that distressed this rich man. Then the demon strangled his son in bed, this caused a great impact in the household that the man´s wife hanged herself. Because of this two deaths and the loss of almost everything the man filled ill and died eventually.

For the devil this wasn´t enough so he turned to the man´s three daughters. The middle child was caught committing adultery and because of that she was buried alive. The other two daughters that where left go searching for help from a priest named Blasie. He suspected that the family was chased by a devil so he told the sisters that they should follow the path of God.

Through time the devil sent a woman to lure the younger sister into damnation. This woman advised that is wrong to have a life without men or sex. She was afraid that the same destiny of her sister, committing adultery, so the women told her that to avoid the punishment of law she must sleep with many lovers turning her into a whore so she started sleeping with every man in town.

Eternal Knights

In the last blog I posted I talked about The Round Table and one of the stories of it power and told a Little bit about the knights that were able to sit in this blessed table.

Today I’m going to make more emphasize on how in the middle ages people get to be a noble knight and fight for the sake of the kingdom in which they lived.

The knight was one of the three types of warriors in the middle ages together with soldiers and archers. Knights where covered with several covers of armor that make them similar to the tanks in present weaponry. No one could stand one to one with a knight in the battlefield.

There were few ways to become a knight. One of the ways was to be a son of a knight or member of the aristocracy that was sent to be trained specially to be a perfect knight. But this training wasn’t only to increase the skills in weaponry handling, but also in their manners such as reading and writing.

Other ways to become a knight was to be in service of one of them at the age of sixteen. The duties that this prospective knight were supposed to do were to clean the armor and the horse of the knight that you are working for and he as an exchange would teach the kid to handle the sword, throw spears and block with a one-handed shield. The recognition of someone as a knight would be presented to all the nobility of the kingdom and to the knight a sword that represents its courage would be given away.

Nowadays in some countries in Europe such as Poland people still make a tribute for this noble knights that fought centuries ago recreating scenes of the life and specially the battles in castles in their countries. Recently in Poland knight’s tournaments were made because of the holidays. They have a tradition to recreate battles every weekend. People have been hurt in the recreation and tournaments, but they see it as a romantic art according to the BBC news (Easton, http://www.bbc.co.uk).

Round Table? What for?

The last topic was a summary of the travel that the Knights of the Round Table made in order to found the castle of where the Holy Grail was kept. But, what is the Round Table? What are knights?

The Round Table was introduced in the rule of King Arthur in England to maintain equity of the ones who were privileged enough that have novel blood who sat in this table. The implementation of this form is because usually the ones with higher respect were allowed to sit in the head. But, the other knight would feel envy and jealousy and because of this they start a brawl in the middle of the main hall causing harm to the ones who weren’t very skillful with the managing of weapons. With the round table only the King had superiority above all the other noble knights and princesses. Also the table was enchanted by the magic of Merlin that blessed the knights that sit in the round table with the power to defeat everything that was a threat to the Kingdom. The names of the blessed knights where written in the chairs and whenever someone died this name disappears and the name of a new chosen knight appears.

Knights were novel to the king in every aspect; whatever the King ordered is what they do without complain at all. Legends describe the heroic acts of knights fighting dragons around the kingdom or in journeys that they have to find a sacred artifact that will raise the power of their Kingdom.
